SARNO UNCOVERED
The classic films of legendary and prolific sexploitation director Joseph Sarno have been a top priority for Retro-Seduction Cinema over the past four years, and the label has taken great pride in uncovering, restoring and releasing
many of Sarno’s most potent and accomplished works to DVD for the first time ever. Working hand in hand with the writer/director and his wife, Peggy Steffans-Sarno, and with the expertise of noted film historian and Sarno biographer Michael Bowen, Retro-Seduction Cinema has released several Sarno masterpieces including definitive versions of Inga, The Seduction of Inga, Swedish Wildcats, films that comprise his German Trilogy (Vampire Ecstasy, Girl Meets Girl, Butterflies), and Abigail Leslie is Back in Town (read Tim Lucas’ recent Video Watchblog review of Abigail Leslie)
Coinciding with the announcement of Seduction Cinema’s October 3, 2006 2-disc DVD release of Suburban Secrets (a.k.a. Lust for Laura)
– Sarno’s newest feature film produced by Seduction Cinema and his first in over twenty years – Retro-Seduction Cinema is pleased to report that three further Sarno cult classics are being prepared for DVD release in 2007. The trio of Moonlighting Wives (1966), Daddy, Darling (1970) and Confessions of a Young American Housewife (1974) offers an insightful look at Sarno’s filmic and stylistic trajectory over that eight-year period, and each film delivers trademark Sarno subject matter – often taboo – in the most frank and startling ways. They are essential viewing for fans who have come to expect from Sarno nothing less than the intelligence, psychological complexity, depth of characterization, and female-centric storytelling for which he is justly renowned.

CINDERELLA 2000
Retro Seduction Cinema is proud to present the 30th Anniversary Edition of the sci-fi cult classic and drive-in circuit smash hit, Cinderella 2000 – seeing its first ever release on DVD!
Drive-in movie legends Al Adamson & Sam Sherman (Dracula vs. Frankenstein, Blazing Stewardesses) created some of the most outrageous, colorful and beloved ‘B’ pictures ever to hit the silver screen. Adamson’s Cinderella 2000 takes the popular Brothers Grimm fairy tale into the farthest reaches of a way-out future and puts an Orwellian spin on it…with a helping heaping of sexy shenanigans tossed in for good measure.
A sinister Big Brother government has declared sex illegal in the year 2047, but downtrodden Cindy (Catherine Erhardt) could care less. Dressed in rags and a slave to her wicked step-sisters, the beautiful young woman knows that escape and passionate romance are dreams never to be fulfilled. But one day Cindy meets a handsome young man and falls head-over-heels in love and lust. Braving the Fornication Police, a wise-cracking, sex-sniffing robot, and the government’s impotent omnipotent leader who’s not “up” to the task, sexy Cindy must overcome every erotic obstacle and funky musical interlude to be with her prince.

INFECTIOUS ENTHUSIASM FOR NEW BRETT PIPER FILM
Shock-O-Rama Cinema Studio is thrilled to announce that production has recently begun on Bacterium – the newest film from acclaimed horror veteran & fx master Brett Piper and his 4th for Shock-O-Rama Cinema Studio. Piper’s previous films for the NJ-based, indie horror label include 2004’s haunted insane asylum shocker Screaming Dead, 2005’s mutant-bugs-on-the-loose creepfest Bite Me!, and the soon-to-be-released, horror comics-inspired monster movie adventure, Shock-O-Rama.
"Invade Infect Mutate Devour" proclaims the foreboding and gruesome tagline, and it’s not a pretty sight for the trapped characters in Bacterium, who witness firsthand the horrifying results of a government biological weapon experiment gone catastrophically wrong. As the virulent, mutating, flesh-hungry contagion spreads from person to person – rendering each human host into a pile of infectious goo – it begins to exponentially increase in size as well. An undercover military force sent in to contain the spread and destroy the organism discovers the shocking extent of the mutation, but by then it’s far too late for conventional tactics. Extreme measures are required…if there’s anyone left standing in one solid, uninfected piece to do battle.
Bacterium was shot on location in rural Green Township, in northwestern New Jersey, and at historic Fort Totten in Bayside, Queens, New York. ei Cinema studios, in Butler, New Jersey, also was utilized for several interior "set pieces," including the dingy laboratory lair of the renegade, ex-government scientist responsible for the bacterial mutation who is now attempting to stop its hideous course at all costs. As did his past films for Shock-O-Rama Cinema, Piper’s Bacterium will rely heavily on traditional special & make-up effects to breathe life into the slithering, oversized bacterial "monster" and to present the deaths of several of its victims in the most gory and repulsive way.
Working with a great cast of newcomers including Benjamin Kanes, Alison Whitney, Miya Sagara, Marc Gettis and Jessica Day as well as veteran ei performers John Fedele (Bite Me!), A.J. Khan (Shock-O-Rama, Screaming Dead) and Rob Monkiewicz (Shock-O-Rama, Screaming Dead, Bite Me!), writer/director Piper seems satisfied that he has crafted his most intense and serious horror film to date.
Stay tuned for further news regarding Bacterium once it has finished shooting and moves into post-production.
