SHOCK-O-RAMA
"Piper's film sings with an unholy harmony of busty beauties, gruesome ghouls and laugh-out-loud plot devices…one of the best films of the year." - Bloody Disgusting.com
"Reminiscent of Sam Raimi's early work." - DVD Late Show
"Creepy, erotic and bloody…visceral thrills." - FilmThreat.com
"Turns the horror genre on its head." - B-Scared
"One hell of a good time." - Gates of Gore
Following an extensive and extended promotional effort incorporating screenings at top horror cons (including Fangoria's NJ and Chicago "Weekend of Horrors") and appearances by its director and star, Brett Piper and Misty Mundae, respectively, Shock-O-Rama is now eagerly poised for its long awaited DVD release, on September 5. Initial critical reaction to Piper's third horror outing for the Shock-O-Rama Cinema label has been nothing short of glowing with special praise heaped upon Shock-O-Rama's horror-comics-inspired story and its effortless blending of humor, horror, homage, fantasy, sci-fi and sexploitation; Piper's obvious love of and nostalgic affinity for the conventions of classic 'B' horror filmdom, which oozes from every frame of Shock-O-Rama; and the outrageous stop-motion animation, matting and miniature/model fx - done the traditional way; no CGI, thank you - that bring Shock-O-Rama to full-blooded and bloody life.
Shock-O-Rama follows Piper's Screaming Dead and Bite Me! and precedes Bacterium - his newest horror opus currently in post-production. It's his third film to star world-renowned 'B' movie actress Misty Mundae, who is deliciously cast as a…well…world-renowned 'B' movie actress named "Rebecca Raven." Rebecca has battled and conquered every conceivable monster, mutant and madman in her illustrious career. Suddenly axed by the horror film studio that made her a household name, she travels to the country for some much needed rest & relaxation. As peaceful day creeps into cold, dark night, Rebecca cannot possibly imagine the terror lurking at her door when real life imitates art…in the form of a flesh-starved ghoul hungry to bite off more than it could chew. The threat of becoming zombie leftovers may be nightmarish enough, yet other slithering, hulking, bloodthirsty creatures stand between Rebecca and her movie career including killer aliens, a 50-foot-tall monstrosity borne of scrap metal and junk, and an super-sized, under-stimulated hunk of evil brain that experiments on beautiful young women.
Shock-O-Rama was shot on Super 16mm at various atmospheric and photographic locations throughout NJ and NY - historic bed'n'breakfast establishments and a titanic scrap metal dump & salvage yard feature prominently - and at POPcinema (formerly ei Cinema), in Butler, NJ, where every square inch of studio space was crammed full of the most bizarre and outlandish and colorful sets. Sporting a top-notch cast of popular POPcinema "regulars" including the aforementioned Misty Mundae, Julian Wells, A.J. Khan, Caitlin Ross, Rob Monkiewicz, Erika Smith, Michael Thomas, Sylvianne Chebance and Dave Fine, Shock-O-Rama crackles with outstanding performances that bring down the house - quite literally in one scene.
Shock-O-Rama comes to DVD with a wealth of exciting Extras: a newly produced interview segment with director Brett Piper and producer Mike Raso; Shock-O-Rama Behind-the-Scenes; mini-documentary showcasing the film's theatrical premiere at the Pioneer Theater in NYC; post-screening Q & A with Piper; audio commentary with Piper and Mike Raso; Shock-O-Rama Cinema and Retro Shock-O-Rama Cinema Trailer Vault; and an 8-page, full color collectible booklet featuring liner notes by Film Threat writer/reviewer Merle Bertrand.

SHOCK-O IN FANGO
Check out the September issue of Fangoria Magazine - issue #256 - for a nice article on Shock-O-Rama Cinema and Brett Piper's newest and wildest creature-feature offering, Shock-O-Rama. In it, Fango scribe Dan Scapperotti talks to the veteran Piper about the production, its special fx specifics, and how it all came together in the horror-comics-inspired, film-within-a-film project - the director's third for Shock-O-Rama Cinema. It follows Screaming Dead and Bite Me! and precedes Bacterium, Piper's upcoming film, which he currently tinkers with in post-production.

IT'S SINFUL
Shock-O-Rama Cinema's October 3, 2006 releases Sinful marks the fifth screen film collaboration between Los Angeles-based writer/director Tony Marsiglia and popular 'B' actress Misty Mundae. Their previous projects together include the erotic horror films Dr. Jekyll & Mistress Hyde (2002) and Lust for Dracula (2004) and the erotic thrillers Sin Sisters (2003) and Chantal (2004), a remake of the Nick Philips' grim 1968 sexploitation shocker of the same name - poised for release in 2007. Both filmmaker and star have attracted a great deal of acclaim while developing highly regarded cult reputations over the past few years, thanks in part to their work together - a quartet of one-of-a-kind, serious-minded sexploitation films that have transcended the genre and, now, a new horror film, Sinful, which delivers a disturbing, "torn from the headlines" story with dark, bloody and brutal intensity.
With his very first feature, Phoenix (a.k.a. Ashes and Flames, released in 1997 by ei Cinema), Marsiglia displayed an obsessive interest with all things surreal, sexual, and psychological. Influenced by the films of David Lynch, Marsiglia and his tales inhabit a world with characters heavily imbued with symbolism, and slightly off-kilter. Each successive film, beginning with his first for Seduction Cinema, Witches of Sappho Salon, has pushed the envelope further in terms of its subject matter and complexity of characterization as well as the deeply personal material that makes its way onto the screen. Sinful - rife with despair and desperation, roiling with violent horrors of the mind and of the flesh - is no doubt Marsiglia's most terrifying vision of one person's descent into a hell of her own creation.
Sinful has Misty Mundae giving her most powerful and electrifying performance to date, one that garnered the 26-year-old 'B' veteran a Best Actress Nomination at the 2006 NJ Int. Film and Screenplay Festival. In Sinful, she portrays "Lilith," a young woman who cannot conceive a child no matter how hard she tries and how desperately she wishes. As her marriage begins to unravel, so does her hold on reality slowly and painfully and dangerously slip away. A beautiful neighbor (Erika Smith) who has just become pregnant befriends Lilith, and the relationship ignites a furious envy within her that turns increasingly threatening and grotesque. Cursed with a body refusing to bear life and driven mad by psychotic fantasy, Lilith will stop at nothing to experience happiness with a child - any child. She will become a mother, however monstrous and shocking the consequences might be.
The duo of Mundae and actress Erika Smith, Sinful's radiant vision of beauty and innocence whose character is counterpoint to Misty's damaged and dangerous Lilith, work effortlessly together and their on-screen relationship is what makes Sinful's finale so utterly devastating.
Shot on Super 16mm, Sinful comes to DVD in a 1.78:1 format enhanced for 16x9 TVs. "Extras" include a behind-the-scenes segment; an interview with star Misty Mundae; Misty clips and interviews from the 2006 NJ Intl. Film and Screenplay Festival, where Sinful screened as an Official Selection; audio commentary by director Tony Marsiglia; and a 6-page, collectible color booklet featuring Sinful liner notes by Film Threat scribe 7 reviewer Merle Bertrand.
HERE COMES SANTA CLAWS...
In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Shock-O-Rama Cinema is pleased to re-introduce the psycho-in-a-red-suit-shocker Santa Claws into the retail marketplace following a three-year absence. Santa Claws was written and directed in 1996 by John A. Russo - Horror Hall of Fame member, horror novelist, and co-creator of the original Night of the Living Dead. It stars popular and prolific 'B' actress Debbie Rochon as "Raven Quinn," a sexy Scream Queen not having the happiest of holidays this year. Raven's marriage is falling apart, and Wayne - a quiet next-door neighbor - has developed a macabre obsession for her that has reached the point of insanity. As Wayne's delusions grow even more dangerous and bizarre, he transforms into the most frightening serial killer ever to stalk the streets on a cold winter night...Santa Claws! Mercilessly butchering anyone who stands between him and the object of his obsession, the red-suited maniac tracks Raven down to the set of her latest horror movie. Here the grim madness of reality collides head-on with cinematic fantasy in a blood-frenzy of psychopathic mayhem, leading up to a shocking confrontation between Raven and this unstoppable monster that will have you shivering with fear.
This seasonal tale of murder and madness that will chill you to the bone remains a favorite among fans for its noteworthy pedigree: it features a few of the original cast members and familiar (dead!) faces from George Romero's horror classic, namely Karl Hardman ("Harry Cooper"), Marilyn Eastman ("Helen Cooper" and the "bug-eating zombie"), Bill Hinzman (the "cemetery zombie") and director John Russo (the "tire iron zombie"). Santa Claws, also shot in Pittsburgh, PA, marks their first ever motion picture reunion.
Santa Claws jumps down from his "slay" and onto store shelves on October 10, at a special $12.99 msrp. DVD Extras include interviews newly produced for this Ten-year Anniversary Edition: one with star Debbie Rochon and one featuring Bill Hinzman, who also wears the director of photography hat on Santa Claws, Santa Claws outtakes, and a full-color booklet featuring liner notes by genre writer and journalist Mike Watt. Whether you've been naughty or nice, Santa Claws makes the perfect gift…one that keeps on killing!
THE BIGGEST SPOOF OF ALL
Acclaimed adult entertainment director Seymour Ass (John P. Fedele) needs a stunning, fresh-faced young actress to star in his latest big budget film - a production steeped in secrecy. When Seymour happens upon delectable, down-on-her-luck Fanny Sparrow (Sabrina Faire) on the streets of Manhattan, he knows he has discovered his sexy new starlet. With secret map in hand and a cast & crew of luscious females in tow, Seymour sets sail for mythical Bone Island. Fanny quickly learns the ropes of the industry shooting and cavorting on board the yacht, but it could never prepare her for the huge obstacles she will soon face on the mysterious island…none more imposing than Kinky Kong! - a 60-foot-tall simian with a naughty penchant for peeping and a kinky attraction to beautiful young women of the homo sapien persuasion. And when Kinky Kong falls in "lust" with Fanny, LOOK OUT! rampaging dinosaurs, speeding trains, Lady Liberty and the astonished citizens of New York City. Nothing will come between an over-sized, over-stimulated ape in diapers and his main squeeze!
Kinky Kong - Seduction Cinema's newest large-scale, soft-core spoof - hits stores nationwide on Tuesday, September 5. A parody of the beloved classic original and Peter Jackson's big-budget, mega-hit remake, Kinky Kong was written and directed by popular sexploitation director/Seduction Cinema legend John Bacchus, whose previous spoofs include the hilarious cult classics Erotic Witch Project 1 & 2, Play-mate of the Apes, Gladiator Eroticvs and Erotic Survivor. What better way was there for Bacchus to return to Seduction Cinema Studios in late 2005 following a two-year hiatus than for him to tackle the type of outrageous, pop-culture inflected spoof for which the veteran erotic label is renowned. And tackle Bacchus did…with gusto and unabashed enthusiasm for a project near and dear to his heart. With a wonderful cast comprising gorgeous Seduction Cinema newcomer Sabrina Faire, long-time favorites Darian Caine (Gladiator Eroticvs) and A.J. Khan (Shock-O-Rama, Lord of the G-Strings), John Fedele (Bite Me!, Gladiator Eroticvs), Duane Polcou (Sexy American Idle), Jackie Stevens (Curious Obsessions, Lust in Space) and Dan Schwab (Play-mate of the Apes) as the over-sized simian, Bacchus employed his tried-n-true method of inspired improvisation, and the comic results and instances of on-screen mayhem and hilarity are unequaled in any previous film by the director. Add to that live action madness the spectacular make-up, matting, miniature, and green screen fx courtesy of veteran cult horror director and fx wizard Brett Piper (Screaming Dead, Bite Me!, Shock-O-Rama) - himself a devotee of original King Kong animator Willis O'Brien - and you have what is Seduction Cinema's most over-the-top, entertaining and eagerly anticipated spoof ever.
When poked, the modest John Bacchus humbly submits, "This is my best one yet I think, hands down. The girls were all fantastic. This was Sabrina's first Seduction Cinema film, and she fit right in with Darian and A.J. and Jackie and all the other gals. She was the perfect Fanny Sparrow. Funny performances all around…without doubt John Fedele's greatest - no kidding ladies and gentlemen, GREATEST - performance. He plays porn director Seymour Ass. Duane Polcou is also brilliant as Jack Sparrow. The effects and Kinky Kong are awesome, thanks to Brett. A great time on set, no long, crazy days, everyone had a really good time. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome - how good the movie looks, the tremendous job Brian McNulty did in post, and how really funny it is."
But then Seduction Cinema never monkeys around when it apes a motion picture.
The Kinky Kong DVD features a behind-the-scenes mini-documentary, a Mail-in Free Bonus DVD Offer, a full-color collectible booklet with "Seduction Cinema: The Kinky Kings of Spoof" liner notes by Andrew Shearer, and audio commentary by Kinky Kong Producer and POPcinema President Michael Raso.
USCHI DIGARD'S BIG, BIG, REALLY BIG RELEASE
Retro-Seduction Cinema proudly presents a Double Feature DVD that can barely contain the Double Barreled talents of voluptuous grindhouse cinema legend Uschi Digard. With over 80 cult classic films to her credit including Russ Meyer's Supervixens & Beyond the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens and Nick Philips' Roxanna & Pleasures of a Woman, Sweden-born Uschi Digard was the quintessential buxom beauty whose amazing body and all-natural chest were the very definition of raw sex appeal in the 1960s and 70s. The Buxom Bombshell Collection features Uschi in Nick Philips' 1971 sexploitation classic, Fancy Lady and the 1970 erotic raunchfest The Dirty Pool. Look for it in stores on Tuesday, September 5.

We discover that Karin had her own lesbian encounters as an impressionable nineteen-year-old - ripe with the desire to experiment with her nubile and luxurious body. Next, Karin visits a young American couple that had recently visited Copenhagen. Finding them in their apartment putting on quite a show, Karin acts the voyeur and takes in all the carnal sights and sounds while keeping her notebook busy. CINDERELLA 2000 ZOOMS INTO STORES ON OCT. 3
Retro-Seduction Cinema is thrilled to announce the 30th Anniversary Edition release of the infamous and sexy sci-fi flick, Cinderella 2000, from legendary drive-in movie duo Al Adamson and Sam Sherman (Dracula Vs. Frankenstein, Satan's Sadists) of Independent-International Pictures (I.I.P.) Corporation fame. Produced in 1977 and brandishing the tagline, "Tomorrow's Sexiest Comedy Today," Cinderella 2000 takes the classic fairy tale into the farthest reaches of the recently passed future and puts an Orwellian spin on it: Cindy (Catherine Erhardt) is a young and beautiful Earth woman in the year 2047 who overcomes her impoverished background to outwit a Big Brotheresque government that has outlawed sex so she can be with the man she loves. With its spying robots, outrageous musical numbers, and a helping heaping of far-out sexy shenanigans, Cinderella 2000 represented yet another unique departure for the usually horror-oriented Adamson, who had directed the modern day western-comedy, Blazing Stewardesses, just two years earlier.
Cinderella 2000 was produced by I.I.P. to cash in on the tremendous theatrical success achieved by 1976's X-Rated musical, Alice in Wonderful: naughty musical versions of classic fairy tales suddenly became the rage, and there was no way Sam Sherman would miss the small window of opportunity which suddenly opened to exploit that situation. Also, a certain little sci-fi film named Star Wars happened to hit theaters in 1976, which further helped propel Adamson's campy, sci-fi spectacular. Slapped with a self-applied X, which simply meant Sherman didn't submit the films to the MPAA for a rating, and released to drive-in and "hard-top" theaters, Cinderella ended up doing astronomical business. Now, 30 years later, with DVD Extras that include the more explicit European version of Cinderella 2000, an alternate title sequence, a collectible full color booklet with detailed liner notes, the original theatrical trailer, an Al Adamson trailer vault, and Sam Sherman's always informative and entertaining audio commentary, Cinderella 2000 has become an exciting Retro Seduction Cinema release - its first ever on DVD! - with quite a "future" in store for it.
In other POPcinema - I.I.P. news, look for an early 2007 Retro Shock-O-Rama Cinema DVD premiere of the little known and ultra-violent Al Adamson western, 5 Bloody Graves, theatrically released in 1970 and starring 'B' movie stalwarts Robert Dix (who also scripted the screenplay), Scott Brady, Jim Davis and John Carradine. In this grim and gruesome tale, lone gunman Ben Thompson (Dix) hunts the fearsome Apache Satago across the plains of the Wild West. When Satago's marauders ambush a stagecoach, Thompson rides to the rescue of the trapped passengers and helps them in their last stand against the brutal and deadly Indians. 5 Bloody Graves will be part of a double feature DVD that will also showcase Adamson's 1978 demonic possession horror film, Nurse Sherri (a.k.a. The Possession of Nurse Sherri), which was initially released by Retro Shock-O-Rama in 2001. With deleted scenes, liner notes, original theatrical trailer, and Sam Sherman's inimitable audio commentary, 5 Bloody Graves - with Nurse Sherri riding shotgun - will be a new and welcome addition to the already diverse, cult classic Adamson filmography that is currently available on home video.
