WORLD PREMIERE OF SKIN CRAWL AT GENGHIS CON!
GENGHIS CON A SCREAMING SUCCESS

SKIN CRAWL

The inaugural Genghis Con horror expo took place November 18 - 20, at the Radisson Greentree Hotel, in Pittsburgh, PA, and Shock-O-Rama Cinema was thrilled to be part of what will without doubt soon become one of the top horror conventions. Writer/director Mike Watt and indie horror actress/filmmaker Amy Lynn Best of Happy Cloud Pictures - hosts and coordinators of this first time event - are to be congratulated for a fun, entertaining and superbly run show.

Shock-O-Rama Cinema was on hand throughout the 3 day Genghis Con to not only offer up its newest horror film releases to the eager fans in attendance but to premier its 2006 home video horror release, Skin Crawl, written and directed by one-time Pittsburgh native Justin Wingenfeld. Skin Crawl screened on Saturday night, November 19, at 8:00PM, to an enthusiastic, standing-room-only crowd who thoroughly enjoyed the chilling and gruesome film, which stars veteran 'B' horror favorite Debbie Rochon, Seduction and Shock-O-Rama Cinema stars Julian Wells and Misty Mundae, and Kevin Shinnick (Screaming Dead). ei Cinema President Michael Raso introduced this newest Shock-O fright flick with Wingenfeld and star Debbie Rochon taking part in an after-screening Q & A.

Special guests included cult horror legends and personalities Herschell Gordon Lewis, Gunnar Hansen, Reggie Bannister, Edwin Neal, Joe Bob Briggs, Brinke Stevens and more, and each of them helped to make this first ever Genghis Con a very special one.

Thanks to Mike Watt and Amy Lynn Best for a wonderful show and the honored opportunity to screen Skin Crawl.

THE BIGGEST SPOOF OF ALL

When acclaimed erotica director Seymore Ass disembarks on remote Bone Island to shoot his next soft-core epic with sexpot starlet Fanny Sparrow, he discovers several big obstacles to overcome…none more imposing than a 60 foot tall simian with a naughty penchant for peeping and a kinky attraction to beautiful young women of the homo sapien persuasion.

Yes, you have read correctly. The above "teaser" makes it official. Seduction Cinema's newest large-scale, soft-core spoof, Kinky Kong, is a reality, and there can be no bigger news to pound our chest about. What's more, this erotic parody of the upcoming Peter Jackson remake of the 1933 horror classic has completed production, a "rough" final cut's been assembled and delivered, and extensive post-production special fx are being added to the live action scenes.

What better way and under what more auspicious circumstances could there be for legendary erotica director John Bacchus to return to Seduction Cinema Studios following a two-year hiatus than for him to tackle the type of outrageous and hilarious, pop-culture inflected spoof for which the popular erotic label is renowned. And tackle Bacchus did…with gusto and unabashed enthusiasm for a project near and dear to his heart. With a wonderful cast comprising the gorgeous Sabrina Faire, A.J. Khan (Lord of the G-Strings), Darian Caine (Gladiator Eroticvs), McKenzie Matthews (SSI: Sex Squad Investigation), Jackie Stevens (Lust in Space), John Fedele (Gladiator Eroticvs), Duane Polcou (Sexy American Idle) and Dan Scwab (Play-mate of the Apes) as the over-sized simian, Bacchus employed his tried-n-true method of inspired improvisation, and the comic results and instances of on-screen mayhem and hilarity are unequaled by any previous film by the director. Add to that live action madness the spectacular make-up, miniature, and green screen fx courtesy of veteran cult horror director and fx wizard Brett Piper (Screaming Dead, Bite Me!, Shock-O-Rama) - himself a devotee of original King Kong animator Willis O'Brien - and you have what is poised to be Seduction Cinema's most over-the-top, entertaining and eagerly anticipated spoof ever.

When poked, the modest John Bacchus humbly submits, "This is my best one yet I think, hands down. Funny performances all around…probably John Fedele's best role, too. He plays porn director Seymore Ass. The effects and Kinky Kong are awesome, thanks to Brett. A great time on set, no long, crazy days, everyone had a really good time. The girls were all fantastic. This was Sabrina's first Seduction Cinema film, and she just fit right in. The perfect Fanny Sparrow. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome - how good the movie looks, I thank my DP for that, and how really funny it is."

Kinky Kong shot over a four-week period in September 2005, at various on-land and at-sea locations in northern and coastal New Jersey. Post-production continues for the next month or so as Brett Piper's various special fx are added to the live action final cut. Kinky Kong is scheduled for release in May 2006, likely to coincide with or even beat the new King Kong's home video release date.

But then Seduction Cinema never monkeys around when it apes a motion picture.

SUCCESSFUL SHOCK-O-RAMA SCREENING

Shock-O-Rama Cinema and Brett Piper's newest horror feature, Shock-O-Rama, played to a near capacity house at the "Two Boots" Pioneer Theatre, October 27, as part of its month-long classic and cult horror film series. The 7:00pm showing was open to the general public, which was a sizeable portion of the audience - one that seemed to thoroughly enjoy the creepy, gruesome, outrageous, special fx laden film, Piper's third with Shock-O Cinema. Also at the Shock-O-Rama screening were numerous cast and crew members including Brett Piper and stars A.J. Khan, Erika Smith and Caitlin Ross as well as notable attendees Tony Timpone and Michael Gingold, Fangoria Magazine editor and managing editor, respectively, and acclaimed horror filmmaker and Blue Underground President Bill Lustig. Post screening, happy theatergoers made their way across the Avenue and packed an upstairs room at popular East Village eatery and lounge, "Mo Pitkins," where beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres were offered up.

It was a fun and entertaining evening for everyone involved, and an ei Cinema film crew was on hand to cover the entire event and interview various key personalities. The footage will end up as a mini documentary DVD Extra on the Shock-O-Rama DVD release…in April 2006. Thanks to all who attended.

CHILLER THEATER CON

The October 28 - 30, 2005 Chiller Theater Toy, Model & Film Expo was its usual crazy, well-attended, colorful, fun and exciting self…with a diverse array of guest celebrities and horror luminaries including legendary directors George A. Romero and John Landis.

At the Shock-O-Rama Cinema table, director (and horror author) Gregory Lamberson spent Saturday and Sunday signing DVDs of his 1989 grind house cinema splatter epic, Slime City, which was recently released by Retro-Shock-O-Rama Cinema in a special edition "slime green" DVD case. Along with fellow "sleaze" horror films such as Basket Case, Combat Shock and Street Trash, Slime City definitively represents a distinct style of New York City-lensed, indie horror movie that was produced in the mid- to late-1980s and at no other time.

Recent Shock-O-Rama and Retro-Shock films Prison-A-Go-Go, Feeding the Masses, Womens Prison Massacre Uncut, Joseph Sarno's Vampire Ecstasy, and the Criminally Insane/Satan's Black Wedding Double Feature were also available at Chiller Con, and eager fans took advantage of the "nice pricing," picking up their very own copies of these cool new horror releases.

Thanks to Kevin Clement and the Chiller Theater staff for yet another wonderful convention.

NEW SARNO FILM HEADED FOR HOLLYWOOD

In 2004, after a near 20-year hiatus, legendary erotica director Joseph Sarno (Inga, Sin in the Suburbs) returned to world of sexploitation filmmaking with a bang. Working with Seduction Cinema Studios, Sarno wrote and directed Suburban Secrets (originally titled Lust for Laura), a scintillating soft-core epic that hearkens back to the style and content of his mid-70s features including Abigail Leslie is Back in Town and Misty.

On Tuesday, December 6, a super sexy, MPAA R version of Suburban Secrets will be a welcome addition upon the rental shelves of Hollywood Video stores nationwide (the Unrated Director's Cut is scheduled for release in April 2006). Suburban Secret's availability at Hollywood guarantees the introduction of Sarno to a whole new audience and generation previously unfamiliar with him and his fascinating and complex body of work.

ei Cinema wishes to thank Hollywood Video for its consistent support of Seduction Cinema and Shock-O-Rama Cinema new releases and sincerely appreciates the rental chain's commitment to bringing in unique and exciting alternative cinema fare. And ei Cinema asks its fans to support Hollywood Video in kind - to ensure rental placement of future releases.

NEW RELEASES: 1975 "LOST" SARNO CLASSIC

Within the unforgiving, under-appreciated, under-valued and generally critically ignored realm of sexploitation cinema, there is a litany of films that have been destroyed, lost, or just plain forgotten…never to see the light of day - or be seen - again. Regarding the films of legendary 1960s and 70s auteur Joseph Sarno, there are many, if not dozens, that fall into this sad and shameful category. Fortunately for aficionados of the genre and fans of Sarno specifically, small miracles can and do happen, and the January 24, 2006 release of his 1975 masterpiece, Abigail Leslie is Back in Town, is a case in point. After a bit of sleuthing on the part of Retro-Seduction Cinema and sexploitation historian and Sarno biographer Michael Bowen, a 35mm negative of Abigail Leslie was tracked down in 2005, and a beautiful, wide screen (1.78:1) high-definition master of what was previously considered a "lost" film was immediately created. Thus a Sarno film was saved from likely oblivion, and fans are given the opportunity to experience this classic erotica film as if brand new and looking better than it ever did…even when theatrically screened way back in the mid-1970s.

Starring seductive Sarno favorite Rebecca Brooke (Laura's Toys, Misty), adult film superstars Jennifer Welles, Eric Edwards (Butterflies, Laura's Toys) and Jamie Gillis (Misty), 'B' movie tough guy Sonny Landham (Predator, 48 Hours), and sultry Sarah Nicholson as the titular character, Abigail Leslie is Back in Town is one of Sarno's most memorable films and one of the erotica master's fondest productions, too, being that filming took place in his childhood hometown of Amityville, NY.

Sarno set the gold standard for provocative depictions of passions run rampant behind the closed doors of hometown America in the 1960s & 70s (Sin in the Suburbs, Moonlighting Wives); his films are heavily female-centric and his women strong, desirous and just plain naughty, and they get what they want! Blending thrilling "Peyton Place" melodrama with scandalous 'true story' headlines torn from the New York City tabloids of Sarno's time, Abigail Leslie is Back in Town finds seductress Abigail Leslie returning to her old fishing village hometown and instigating a sexual tidal wave that affects the entire close-knit community. Abigail is known for her voracious appetite for all things carnal, and her homecoming has re-sparked the passions and lust that smolder beneath the town's façade of propriety. While the men and women of Baypoint are thrilled at the non-stop adulterous fun that's in store, Abigail's long-time girlfriends regret the prodigal daughter's sudden return, especially Priscilla (Rebecca Brooke), whose husband Gordon (Jamie Gillis) has had a running affair with her. But quicker than you can say, "catch of the day," everyone is knocking on Abigail's door for an unforgettable night, or day, of lesbian eroticism and swinging orgies. Whether it's handyman Chester (Eric Edwards), sexy Aunt Drucilla (Jennifer Welles), tasty young Alice Anne, stud Bo (Sonny Landham), or lusty pals Tracy and Lila, or any combination thereof, you can bet Abigail will be ready, willing and able to throw in the line and get wet!

The Retro-Seduction Cinema DVD presentation of this forgotten Sarno classic showcases the uncut, re-mastered feature film - its first ever release to home video; an interview with the director and his wife and long-time collaborator, Peggy Steffans Sarno; audio commentary with Sarno and sexploitation historian Michael Bowen; a 8 page collectible color booklet featuring liner notes by Michael Bowen; and an extensive trailer vault of other Sarno films including his newest, Suburban Secrets.

Retro-Seduction Cinema is proud of its long-standing relationship with the Sarnos and honored and thrilled to offer this "long lost" film to legions of Joe Sarno fans worldwide.

NEW RELEASES: JESS FRANCO 2 DVD COLLECTION

A maniacal movie-making machine since the late 1950s with over 150 films to his credit, legendary - and infamous - and notorious - Spanish director Jess Franco has been the mastermind behind some of the most shocking, bizarre and controversial cult classic horror and ex/sexploitation films ever made including Virgin Among the Living Dead, The Awful Dr. Orloff, 99 Women, Vampyros Lesbos, Ilsa: The Wicked Warden and Jack the Ripper.

1997 marked Franco's heavy-duty return to filmmaking after a fallow period throughout the early/mid 90s, with three outrageous and perverse horror films to his credit that serve as evidence of the maestro's major comeback: Marie Cookie and the Tarantula and the two films included on this Shock-O-Rama Cinema Double Feature 2-DVD release - Tender Flesh and Lust for Frankenstein.

Tender Flesh is a re-exploration of a favorite theme: the seduction of the not-so-innocent by manipulators who are even more corrupt than they first appear - by way of Richard Connell's classic thriller, "The Most Dangerous Game" and laced with a DeSadean charge of erotic and excess and ultra-kinky menace. The film stars the delectable Amber Newman (Vamps, Vamps 2), who goes from willing sexual prey to horrified human prey over the course of the film. Gorgeous Monique Parent also co-stars opposite long-time Franco regulars Lina Romay, Analia Ivars and Alain Petit, each of whom delivers a wickedly naughty performance. Lust for Frankenstein features further erotic debauchery and monstrous violence, the film not being the first time that Franco has dabbled in and confounded the Frankenstein mythology; The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein and Dracula, Prisoner of Frankenstein were both unorthodox films made in the fever-pitch productivity year of 1972 (in which Franco directed 7 additional movies!). But it is the first time he's made the creature a woman, named "Goddess" and played by Scream Queen legend Michelle Bauer, and the results find Franco at the height of his poetic visual observations.

Look for the Jess Franco Collectors Edition 2 DVD Set to be available in stores and on-line on January 24. Contents include the uncut version of Tender Flesh and the uncut U.S. version of Lust for Frankenstein; the European version of Lust for Frankenstein; a behind-the scenes documentary for each film; an exclusive Michelle Bauer interview; footage from an Amber Newman photo shoot; and a full color, 4 page collectible booklet featuring liner notes by horror filmmaker and writer (and avid Franco-phile), Scooter McCrae (16 Tongues, Shatterdead).

POPcinema & EDP STRIKE A DEAL

POPcinema and Electric Daisy Pushers (EDP) are pleased to announce that the first DVD release from the fledgling production company - The Devil's Bloody Plaything - is now available on-line at Alternative Cinema and Amazon.com

Electric Daisy Pushers is the new production company instigated by anarchic underground sexploitation filmmaker Bill Hellfire and cult actresses Zoe Moonshine and Ruby LaRocca. Hellfire was the driving force behind the notorious Factory 2000, which produced many shocking, disturbing, dangerously deviant and just plain nasty ex/sexploitation films throughout the late 1990s and into new millennium including such films as I Was a Teenage Strangler (featuring future Seduction/Shock-O-Rama Cinema star Misty Mundae's first screen performance), Infamous Bondage Murders 1 & 2, Lesbos Slaughter 1 & 2, and, most notably, Duck: The Carbine High Massacre. Factory 2000 has since disbanded, but Hellfire and crew decided it was high time to once again produce the kinds of intense, often offensive, and controversial films that brought "The Factory" such international underground acclaim. And EDP does not disappoint, as its premiere release, the bloody and violent The Devil's Bloody Plaything, directed by Hellfire and co-starring Moonshine and LaRocca, has already garnered favorable comparisons to Roman Polanski's 1965 psychological horror classic Repulsion.

The ei Cinema and Factory 2000 relationship was an exciting and prolific one that began ten years ago, so it was only natural that ei and EDP forge a new relationship that will allow for the creation and distribution of further outrageous and in-your-face cinematic mayhem. Orgasm Torture in Satan's Rape Clinic, EDP's next release, certainly puts the exclamation point to that statement!

RETRO SEDUCTION CINEMA REMAKE

Washington State filmmaker Brion Rockwell has recently wrapped production and begun post-production on the remake of sexploitation auteur Nick Philips' 1972 feature Fire in Her Bed (also known as Fire Under Her Bed). ei and Rockwell had been discussing working together for several years, ever since ei released his evocative and intelligent Pacific Northwest-set drama, Where the Air is Cool and Dark, to home video back in 1997, and the opportunity to do so finally presented itself. ei was confident that Rockwell had the insight and vision to effectively contemporarize and update Philips' minor cult sexploitation film; thus the project received the green light this past summer.

Shot in and around Seattle, WA, on Sony Hi-Definition, Fire In Her Bed stars scintillating and seductive newcomers Angelina Dekker and Maria Palentini. If the initial "rushes" screened by ei are an indication, the chemistry between these two young women is simply amazing and the eroticism quotient staggering. Rockwell's final cut is forthcoming, so his version of Fire In Her Bed should see a release later next year on the Retro Seduction Cinema label - tagged teamed with the Nick Philips original.

Since purchasing several 1960s & 70s sexploitation films from the Nick Philips library, Retro Seduction Cinema has been actively committed to producing remakes - re-imaginings, if you will - and packaging them with the original films to create unique erotic double feature releases. Past original/remake double bills include the extraordinarily popular Roxanna and Lustful Addiction (both starring Misty Mundae, with Mundae writing & directing Lustful Addiction) as well as Pleasures of a Woman (starring Darian Caine and Julian Wells). The newest double feature forthcoming from Retro Seduction Cinema - it's currently scheduled for an early 2006 release - is Chantal, also starring Misty Mundae and written & directed by Tony Marsiglia (Dr. Jekyll and Mistress Hyde, Lust for Dracula, Sin Sisters).

SARNO'S EROTIC HORROR CLASSIC

In the effort to introduce the work of legendary sexploitation auteur Joseph Sarno to a wider audience while simultaneously meeting the criteria of specific U.S. retailers that only R-rated or R-equivalent product be placed upon their stores' shelves, Retro Shock-O-Rama Cinema proudly announces the release of The Devil's Plaything - the MPAA R cut of Sarno's 1974 soft-core horror cult classic Vampire Ecstasy (a.k.a. Veil of Blood). It comes from a brand new 1.78:1 telecine transfer from the original film elements and is enhanced for 16x9 televisions.

A heavily trimmed version of Veil of Blood, albeit with an X rating still attached to it, was released in the mid 1970s in the UK and U.S. under the titles The Devil's Plaything and The Plaything of the Devil, respectively: This first ever home video and DVD release of The Devil's Plaything includes further minor trims to the theatrical versions referenced above - just enough to secure a recent MPAA R rating while still retaining the sexually potent and erotic edge that places this provocative film head and shoulders above other "erotic horror" films of the day.

The Devil's Plaything DVD will be available at Best Buy and other national retailers on November 8 at a special $12.99 msrp. The DVD recreates the film's original theatrical poster art and features a full color booklet with insightful liner notes by sexploitation film historian and Sarno biographer Michael Bowen and a 2005 interview with director Sarno.

THE EROTIC WITCH STRIKES BACK

Lust in Space, the 4th and final (?) chapter in Seduction Cinema's popular Erotic Witch Project series, takes the sensual adventure into the farthest reaches of outer space…and beyond the infinite. Lust in Space was written and directed by cult erotica filmmaker and Seduction Cinema legend John Bacchus, who has returned to the label after a two-year hiatus (see Spring 2005 News). Bacchus helmed two of the previous three films in the series: The original Erotic Witch Project and The Erotic Witch Project 2: Book of Seduction. Witchbabe: the Erotic Witch Project 3 was written and directed by Terry West.

The year is 2069, and three female space explorers (A.J Khan, Darian Caine, Alexia Moore) are traveling back through time to November 1999. Their mission: attempt to find a cure for the "Erotic Witch" plague of seduction and orgiastic debauchery that has engulfed the Earth, decimated the planet, and lead civilization to the brink of destruction. Once on Earth and exposed to the supernatural, super sensual disease, will the time-traveling beauties be able to rescue the world from erotically-charged crazies, or will their pent-up lust for one another spell certain for the world…and them too?

Produced early in 2005, Lust in Space stars long-time Seduction Cinema favorites Darian Caine (who has appeared in all four films) and A.J. Khan (star of Book of Seduction), who reprise their roles established in Erotic Witch Project and Erotic Witch Project 2. New to the series is delectable Bethany Lott (SpiderBabe, Who Wants to be an Erotic Billionaire, the upcoming Curious Obsessions) and just plain new to Seduction Cinema are sexy and stunning actresses Jackie Stevens and Alexia Moore. With this pleasing mix of veteran and rookie performers, Bacchus had no trouble crafting a funny, outrageous and thoroughly erotic sci-fi spectacular - one that will surely please fans familiar with both his past large-scale and smaller-scale work for Seduction Cinema, and most notably his one-of-a-kind spoofs (Erotic Survivor, Gladiator Eroticvs, Play-mate of the Apes).

Lust in Space hits stores on November 8. The DVD includes an interview with Lust in Space producer and ei Cinema President Michael Raso, a ultra-hot featurette starring Jackie Stevens and Alexia Moore, a behind-the-scenes peek at the Lust in Space production, and…..Note that Lust in Space will be available on VHS at most f.y.e. retail stores nationwide. f.y.e. continues to be one of a few major U.S. retailers committed to supporting the format for the foreseeable future.

CURIOUS AND OBSESSIVE

On another John Bacchus front, his serious, super-erotic tale of a haunted film projector unspooling classic 60s and 70s stag loops and its aphrodisiac effect upon two curious young women - Bethany Lott and Jackie Stevens (both from Bacchus' Lust in Space) - who become sexually possessed by the flickering images has been outfitted with a new name and is primed for an early 2006 home video release. Curious Obsessions, replacing original, tentative titles Haunted Sex and Ghostly Desires, showcases the seductive beauty and dripping sensuality of the two actresses, whose hot, lesbian soaked performances are a sight to behold.

Curious Obsessions marked John Bacchus' first completed project after re-teaming with Seduction Cinema in 2005, with Lust in Space following hot on its heels. Bacchus' third completed production with the popular erotica label will be revealed in upcoming Seduction Cinema news. An easy-going manner, the ability to get the best out of actresses and actors, and a penchant for working intuitively as well as quickly yet efficiently with never a missed shot have always been trademark characteristics that have earned Bacchus his laurels within the genre. With three winning new films to his credit, here's to further success and acclaim for the writer/director.

EXCLUSIVE DARIAN CAINE PLEASURES

The first volume of popular Seduction Cinema star Darian Caine's naughty and intimate webcam diaries will be available exclusively at all f.y.e. stores nationwide beginning in mid November…at a special $9.99 msrp. Darian Caine My Pleasures features four juicy solo performances - Lusting Lace, Gothic Fantasies, Play Cam and Metal - by goth beauty and veteran Seduction Cinema actress (Gladiator Eroticvs, Lord of the G-String, Lust in Space)…footage that has never been seen beyond Darian's own sizzling website.

So let Darian Caine take you on an uninhibited, uncensored, ultra-erotic, voyeuristic adventure with…Darian Caine! She will definitely make My Pleasure your pleasure.
